I was at that Watford vs Harlow game. It was the first big football match I ever went to. I was 10. Great game.

I didn’t know that about Harlow. That Leicester team was managed by Jock Wallace and included a young Gary Lineker.

Harlow Town v Watford in the cup went to the Harlow v Leicester in the cup Replay Harlow won 1_0 same night Phil Parkes played a blinder in the cup Replay against WBA

So much preferred football in the old days.
I know technically the players are better, the pitched etc. But the atmosphere and relatability to the players. The games seemed more open. Proper tackles. No rolling round like an absolute cunt.
Obviously stuff like the racist bullshit from crowds (eg the horrendous blisset noises) has greatly improved, though the media would make it seem like its worse than ever
